Jerry Minelli & Liza Lewis

Vancouver-based artists Jeremy Todd and Elizabeth Milton have been performing as the character duo Jerry Minelli & Liza Lewis since 2004. Hosting events within the artist-run-community of Vancouver and performing in a range of contexts, Jerry & Liza fuse comedic play with an investigation into popular culture, spectacle and histories of performance from Vaudeville to punk rock. With an interest in failed celebrity, amateurism and camp “showmanship”, the characters entertain tragic-comic sensibilities while stumbling their way through ad-hoc, absurd performances.
